As she aged, she realized she was good and had a knack for baking. She attended culinary school at Corden Blue in Portland Oregon. After that she studied business at BYU-I. She then began working at Sundance as a pastry chef. After some time, she decided she needed a change, so she wanted to work for herself. Darcy wanted a way to make some income while her children were young.
